How to follow the Route du Rhum 2026: tracker, video, game
The Route du Rhum 2026 leaves Saint-Malo on 1 November at 1:02 pm (12:02 UTC). The 115 solo sailors then spend one to three weeks at sea, depending on their class. Here is how to keep up, from the start to the finishes in Pointe-à-Pitre.
The official website
routedurhum.com is the reference: skipper and boat profiles, news, the course. During the race, it is where the official positions and rankings for each class are published. As of 2 October, the race tracker is not online yet; it is usually added to the site as the start approaches.
Videos and social media
The race's official YouTube channel carries footage of the start, onboard videos sent by the skippers and the finishes. The official accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) share the same content, and each team posts its own footage.
On TV
In 2022, the start was shown live on France 3 (France Télévisions). For 2026, the schedule has not been announced as of 2 October: check the listings for the week of the start.
Racing it on Virtual Regatta
The official game is Virtual Regatta Offshore. Registration opened on 1 October. You pick one of five classes (Ultim, IMOCA, Ocean Fifty, Class40 or Vintage Multi), start at the same time as the real sailors, on 1 November at 1:02 pm, and the virtual finish line stays open until 30 November (Figaro Nautisme).
When do the boats arrive?
The Guadeloupe race village opens on 6 November. The gaps between classes are huge: in 2022, the first Ultim took under 7 days, the first IMOCA nearly 12 days and the first Class40 just over 14 days (Wikipedia, 2022 Route du Rhum). At Charles Caudrelier's record pace, an Ultim starting on 1 November would finish on the morning of 8 November, Paris time.
